Personalized cybersecurity education design

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem personalizované osvěty v kyberbezpečnosti pro zaměstnance veřejných vysokých škol v ČR. Účelem personalizace je navrhnout osvětu s nejvyšší možnou efektivitu vzhledem k různorodosti pracovních náplní za-městnanců. Personalizace má řešit specifické potřeby uživatelů, čímž má být splněna efektivita osvěty. Autorka také v práci předkládá data o kyberútocích v akademickém prostředí a rozebírá současný stav vzdělávání a prevence v oblasti kyberbezpečnosti. Dále je v práci představen e-learning jako vhodný nástroj pro personalizaci vzdělávání a jsou zkoumány prvky personalizace u současných e-learningových školení kyberbezpečnosti. Součástí práce je analýza rozhovorů meto-dou kódování a dotazníkové šetření s participací zaměstnanců Masarykovy univerzi-ty s cílem mapovat současnou situaci osvěty a poznat potřeby zaměstnanců. Výsled-kem práce je charakteristika mechanismu, který z celkového obsahu školení generu-je specifická bezpečnostní doporučení pro jednotlivé zaměstnance na základě speci-fikované pracovní skupiny, do které jsou zařazeni.

Abstract:

The master's thesis focuses on designing personalized cybersecurity education for employees at public universities in the Czech Republic. The goal is to propose educa-tion campaigns with the highest possible effectiveness considering the diversity of job roles among employees. The aim of personalization is to address the specific ne-eds of users, thus enhancing the efficiency of cybersecurity education. The thesis also presents data on cyberattacks in the academic environment and analyzes the current state of education and prevention in the field of cybersecurity. The thesis introduces e-learning as a suitable tool for personalizing education and explores personalization elements in current e-learning courses in cybersecurity. The work includes the analysis of interviews using coding and a questionnaire survey invol-ving employees of Masaryk University to assess the current state of cybersecurity awareness and employee needs. The outcome of the thesis is the characterization of a mechanism that generates specific security recommendations for individual em-ployees based on their assigned workgroups.
