Vlastnictví jako takové a s ním spojená vlastnická práva provází člověka prakticky již od jeho narození. Dítě již v útlém věku velmi rychle pochopí, s kterou hračkou si může hrát, protože je „jeho“ a s kterou již ne, protože „jeho“ není.
