Optical transfer function and point spread function of the eye and their calculation

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kvalitou obrazu oka vznikajícího na sítnici. V úvodní kapitole je nastíněná historie hodnocení kvality obrazu, ve druhé kapitole jsou rozebrané jednotlivé funkce popisující kvalitu zobrazení, mimo jiné bodová rozptylová funkce a optická přenosová funkce, a také matematický výpočet hodnot funkcí. Třetí kapitola se zabývá samotnými aberacemi a jejich vlivem na výsledné zobrazení, v úvodní části jsou popsané Zernikeho polynomy včetně matematického vyjádření, dále jejich dělení popis. Ke každé aberaci je spočítaná hodnota bodové rozptylové funkce a optické přenosové funkce. Ve čtvrté kapitole je popsán vliv aberací přímo na vidění a také jejich možná korekce a také je zde nastíněn způsob měření aberací na oku.

Abstract:

This thesis handle with the quality of the image of the eye. In the introductory chapter is outlined the history of image quality evaluation, in second chapter are described individually functions describing image quality, including point spread function and optical transfer function, as well as their mathematical calculation. The third chapter deals with the aberrations themselves and their effect on the resulting representation. In the introductory part of these chapter are described Zernike polynomials including mathematical expression, then their division and description. The point spread function and the optical transfer function are calculated for each aberration. The fourth chapter describes the influence of aberrations directly on vision and their possible correction and also describes the method of measuring aberrations on the eye.
