Evaluation of ecological limits and health status of sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) and norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) in the area of forest administration Loučná nad Desnou (Forests of the Czech Republic, s.p.)

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o ekologických limitech a zdravotním stavu javoru klenu (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) a javoru mleče (Acer platanoides L.) na lesním hospodářském celku lesní správy Loučná nad Desnou (LESY ČR s. p.), v oblasti Severní Moravy. Hodnocení probíhalo u porostů starších než 80 let, za pomoci terénního šetření ve smyslu hodnocení základních dendrometrických charakteristik, jejich habitu a výpočtu produkce dřevní hmoty cenných výřezů. Tyto parametry jsou vztaženy k širokému spektru lesních vegetačních stupňů a edafickým kategoriím. Vedlejším předmětem zájmu byly projevy abiotických a biotických činitelů na jednotlivé porosty a založení pokusu pro determinaci případných technických škůdců dřeva. Měření jsem realizoval v porostech s prokázaným výskytem zájmových dřevin, v souborech lesních typů: 3B, 4A, 4B, 4D, 4S a 5S. Šetření a následná analýza dat prokázali, že javor klen (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) se nachází v ucelených porostech od 3 do 5. vegetačního stupně a své produkční optimum zaujímá na souboru lesních typů 4D. Javor mléč (Acer platanoides L.) na zkoumaném území, obsazuje 3. a 4. lesní vegetační stupeň s produkčním optimem v souboru lesních typů 4A. Výsledky dále ukazují, že ve stejnověkých porostech se zastoupením obou zájmových dřevin, v přepočtu na jednotku, javor mléč (Acer platanoides L.) vykazuje vyšší objem cenného výřezu.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the ecological limits and health condition of the sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) and norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) on the forest economic unit of the Forest Management of Loučná nad Desnou (LESY ČR s. p.), in the area of Northern Moravia. The evaluation was carried out on stands older than 80 years, with the help of a field survey in the sense of evaluation of basic dendrometry characteristics, their habit and calculation of the production of wood mass of valuable timber. These parameters are in line with a wide range of forest vegetation stages and edaphic categories. A secondary object of interest was the manifestations of abiotic and biotic agents on individual stands and the establishment of an experiment to determine possible technical pests of wood. I took measurements in stands with proven appearance of interest trees, in sets of forest types: 3B, 4A, 4B, 4D, 4S and 5S. The investigation and subsequent analysis of the data showed that the sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.) is located in complete stands from the 3rd to the 5th vegetation tier and occupies its production optimum on a set of forest types 4D. Norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) in the area under the interest occupied the 3rd and 4th forest vegetation tier with production optimum in a forest types 4A. Furthermore, the results show that in the same stands with the representation of both species of interest, in terms of per unit, norway maple (Acer platanoides L.) shows a higher volume of valuable timber.
