Abstract:

Bakalářská práce 'Teaching ESP at vocational school - using authentic materials' představuje a definuje autentické materiály jako možné a efektivní výukové prostředky. Teoretická část se zabývá zejména významem a odlišnostmi ESP, rolemi učitele, postupem při výběru vhodných výukových materiálů a jejich využitím ve výuce, významem autenticity ve výuce ESP, přičemž je kladen důraz na konkrétní potřeby studentů. Praktická část poskytuje náhled do osnovy ESP kurzu oboru Kuchař - číšník, ve kterém jsou autentické materiály využívány. V souladu s teoretickou části bakalářské práce jsou nejprve stanoveny cíle konkrétního kurzu a prostředky používané k jejich dosažení, což je demonstrováno jednotlivými plány lekcí (přípravami). Cílem této práce je zhodnotit a obhájit význam využívání autentických materiálů ve výuce ESP (EOP).

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis 'Teaching ESP at vocational school, using authentic materials' presents and defines authentic materials as possible and effective teaching tools. The theoretical part deals mainly with ESP significance and specifics, teacher's roles, strategy - how to choose convenient teaching materials, and their use in the teaching process, the importance of authenticity in ESP teaching, paying a great amount of attention to the learners' actual needs. The practical part provides an insight into an ESP course syllabus, field of study - Cook and waiter, in which authentic materials are used. In accordance with the theoretical part of the thesis, desired outcomes of the particular course and ways used to achieve them are decided first, which is demonstrated in individual lesson plans. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate and vindicate importance of authentic materials use in ESP (EOP) teaching.
