Comparison of strength of structural combined glued joints of selected types of wood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřená na možnost využití různých dřevin (buk, smrk, topol, bříza, modřín) a jejich kombinací pro konstrukční účely. Práce se zabývá smykovou pevností lepené spáry a procentem porušení ve dřevě pro kombinace dřevin. Zkoumá vhodnost 3 možností slepení (PUR, PRF, PUR s primerem) těchto kombinací dřevin. Smyková zkouška lepené spáry je realizována dle normy ČSN EN 302-1:2013. Tato práce se dohromady zabývá osmi druhy vzorků, které jsou lepeny pomocí dvou lepidel a lepidla s primerem. Pro každou skupinu a typ lepidla bylo vyrobeno nejméně 14 vzorků, které byly otestovány. Tato práce zvažuje především možnost využití alternativních dřevin a jejich kombinací pro konstrukční účely, vhodnost lepidla pro danou kombinaci a vliv primeru na pevnost lepeného spoje a smáčivost povrchu dřeva. Primer se ve výsledcích projevoval snížením procenta porušení spoje ve dřevě a statisticky významné rozdíly mezi lepidly byly nalezeny u kombinace modřín/bříza a buk/buk.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the possibility of using different wood species (beech, spruce, poplar, birch, larch) and their combinations for construction purposes. This work deals with the shear strength of the glued joint and the percentage of wood failure for three combinations and examines the suitability of 3 adhesive systems (PUR, PRF, PUR with primer) for different wood combinations. The shear strenght test of the glued joint is realized according to the standard ČSN EN 302-1:2013. This work deals with eight types of specimen, which are glued by two types of glue and a glue with a primer. For each group and type of adhesive was made at least 14 specimen that were tested. This work considers mainly the possibility of using alternative wood and their combinations for construction purposes, the suitability of the adhesive for the wood combination and the influence of the primer on the strength of the glued joint and the wettability of the wood surface. The primer demostrated in a reduction in the percentage of bond failure in the results in the results, and statistically significant differences between the adhesives were found for the larch / birch and beech / beech combination.
