Abstract:
Práce zkoumá, jak jsou představy o "dobrém stárnutí" ovlivňovány dominantními diskurzy stárnutí (a v obecnější rovině kulturně podmíněnými modely zdraví a nemoci či stáří a stárnutí) a zaměřuje se na to, jak se tyto koncepty projevují v chování jednotlivců a jakým způsobem ovlivňují jejich pohled a očekávání na podobu péče v závěru života. The thesis examines how ideas about "aging well" are influenced by dominant discourses of aging (and more generally by culturally conditioned models of health and disease & old age and aging). It focuses on how these concepts are reflected in the behavior of individuals and how they affect their views and expectations about the care at the end of life.
