Commented Translation of a Non-Literary Text from French to Czech from the Field of Fashion

Abstract:

This master's thesis deals with the translation of a technical text from the field of fashion. The source text is an extract from the book Psychosociologie de la mode written by Marc-Alain Descamps. We chose for our translation the chapter entitled Les jeunes. The master's thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter deals with the translation of the source text. The second chapter generally introduces the source text to the reader. The third chapter focuses on the stylistic analysis, the fourth chapter deals with the morphosyntactic analysis and the fifth chapter focuses on the lexical analysis of the source and target text. This master's thesis also includes a glossary which contains terms from the field of fashion.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá překladem odborného textu z oblasti módy. Výchozím textem je výňatek z knihy Psychosociologie de la mode, kterou napsal autor Marc-Alain Descamps. Pro náš překlad jsme si vybrali kapitolu s názvem Les jeunes. Diplomová práce se dělí na pět kapitol. V první kapitole se věnujeme překladu výchozího textu. Druhá kapitola obecně představuje výchozí text čtenáři. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na stylistickou analýzu, čtvrtá kapitola řeší morfosyntaktickou analýzu a pátá kapitola se zabývá lexikální analýzou výchozího a cílového textu. Součástí této diplomové práce je také glosář, který obsahuje termíny z oblasti módy.
