Resistance of modified beech wood againts wood decay fungi

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci byly testovány modifikované a referenční vzorky bukového dřeva (Fagus sylvatica L.). Vzorky byly modifikovány chemicky (acetylace a melaminace) a tepelně (180, 200, 220 °C). V první části práce byly zjišťovány hmotnostní úbytky testovaných vzorků jak modifikovaných, tak i referenčních po expozici dřevokazných hub: outkovky pestré (Trametes versicolor (L.) Lloyd) – houba bílého tlení a pórnatky placentové (Poria placenta (Fr.) Cooke) – houba hnědého tlení. V druhé části experimentální práce byl zkoumán vliv účinku dřevokazných hub na mechanické vlastnosti modifikovaného bukového dřeva. Posuzovanými veličinami byla mez pevnosti a modul pružnosti. Hmotnostní úbytky u posuzovaných vzorků ukázaly, že v případě chemické modifikace (acetylace a melaminace) a při tepelné úpravě 220 °C byly velmi malé v porovnání s referenčními vzorky. Nejnižších hmotnostních úbytků dosáhly vzorky acetylované a melaminované. Při vyhodnocení mechanických vlastností (mez pevnosti v ohybu a modul pružnosti) bukového dřeva napadeného dřevokaznými houbami byly zjištěny výrazné rozdíly mezi referenčními vzorky a vzorky chemicky modifikovanými (acetylace a melaminace).

Abstract:

In the bachelor thesis modifed and reference samples of beech wood (Fagus sylvactica L.) were tested. The samples were modifed chemically (acetylation and melamination) and thermally (180, 200, 220 °C). In the first part of this thesis, the weight losses of the tested samples, both modifed and reference, after exposure to wood decay fungi: Trametes versicolor (L.) Lloyd and Poria placenta (Fr.) Cooke. In the second part of the experimental work, the influence of wood decay fungi on the mechanical attributies of the modifed beech wood samples was investigated. For the evaluation, measuers such as strenght limit and elastic modules were considered. The weight losses of the samples considered showed that they were very small in the case of chemical modification (acetylation and melamine) and at a heat treatment of 220 °C compared to the reference samples. The acetylated and melamine samples had the lowest weight loss. When evaluating the mechanical properties (modulus of raptures and modulus of elasticity) of beech wood infested with wood decay fungi, significant differences were found between reference samples and samples chemically modifed (acetylation and melamination).
