Shaping of Quantity and Amount of Insurance Benefits in Non-homogenous Insurance Portfolios

Abstract:

Práce prezentuje možnosti využití statistických metod v pojistných vědách. Na vybraných datech pocházejících z pojištění odpovědnosti z provozu motorových vozidel poukazuje na vhodné statistické rozdělení, které jsou schopny dobře modelovat náhodné proměnné jako počet pojistných plnění, výši individuálních pojistných plnění a výšku celkových ročních pojistných plnění v heterogenních portfoliích pojistek. Uvedená rozdělení hrají klíčovou roli v činnosti komerčních pojišťoven. Důraz je kladen na odhad parametrů a testy dobré shody s předpokládaným typem teoretického rozdělení pravděpodobnosti a nalezení vhodného složeného modelu kolektivního rizika. Diplomová práce poukazuje i na možnosti využití vhodných software produktů a jejich porovnání.

Abstract:

The thesis presents the possibility of using statistical methods in the actuarial sciences. For the selected data comes from the motor third-party liability insurance points to the appropriate statistical distributions that are well able to model the random variables as the number of claims, the amount of individual claims and the amount of total annual claims in heterogeneous portfolios of policies. These distributions play a key role in the business of commercial insurance companies. The focus is on parameters estimation and goodness of fit tests with the expected type of theoretical probability model and on finding a suitable compound model of collective risk. Diploma thesis also points out possibility of the use of appropriate software products and their comparisons.
