The thesis deals with Slovak and British online newspapers from the multimodal perspective. The theory is concerned with the means of multimodal analysis. It also deals with new media and the phenomenon of globalization which arose with the emergence of the Internet. The future of the online newspapers is outlined as well. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá slovenskými a britskými webovými novinami z pohľadu multimodality. Teoretická časť pojednáva o prostriedkoch multimodálnej analýzy. Spomenuté sú tiež nové médiá a fenomén globalizácie, ktorý prišiel s nástupom internetu. Taktiež je načrtnutá budúcnosť webových novín.
