The Security Aspects of Migration

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na aktuální vývoj a základní rozbor fungování procesu migrační a azylové politiky v České republice v době válečného konfliktu, způsobeného vpádem vojsk Ruské federace na území Ukrajiny. Teoretická část práce zahrnuje základní pojmy a základní proces fungování migrační a azylové politiky České republiky i Evropské unie, závisle na aktuálně probíhající migrační vlnu z Ukrajiny do Evropy. Pomocí analytické metody SWOT analýzy a dotazníkového šetření, jsou v praktické části práce vyhodnoceny aktuální bezpečnostní aspekty současné migrační vlny na území České republiky a členských států Evropské unie, spojené s bezpečností naší země, která je ovlivněna především probíhající uprchlickou vlnou z Ukrajiny. Výstupem práce je vyhodnocení praxe udělování dočasné ochrany a aplikace zákona „Lex Ukrajina“ na území České republiky a s tím spojených vyhodnocení rizik a dopadů, které přináší velký počet příchozích uprchlíků z Ukrajiny. Dotazníkové šetření společně s dalšími analytickými metodami hodnotí kvalitu institutu dočasné ochrany z pohledu žadatele o udělení dočasné ochrany a rizika spojená s udělováním tohoto druhu ochrany. Metoda dotazníkového šetření hodnotí základní oblasti, které mohou ovlivňovat např. bezpečnost, integrační politiku, nebo míru kriminality v České republice. Současně hodnotí i aktuální ekonomické přístupy státu k migraci a integraci.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the current development and basic analysis of the functioning of the process of migration and asylum policy in the Czech Republic during the war, caused by the invasion of the troops of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. The theoretical part of the work includes basic concepts and the basic process of the functioning of the migration and asylum policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union depending on the currently ongoing wave of migration to Europe from Ukraine. Using the analytical method of SWOT analysis and a questionnaire survey, the practical part of the work evaluates the current security aspects of the current migration wave in the territory of the Czech Republic and the member states of the European Union, connected with the security of our country, which is mainly affected by the ongoing wave of refugees from Ukraine. The output of the work is an evaluation of the practice of granting temporary protection and the application of the law "Lex Ukraine" on the territory of the Czech Republic, and with it an evaluation of the risks and impacts brought by a large number of incoming refugees from Ukraine. The questionnaire survey, together with other analytical methods, evaluates the quality of the temporary protection institute from the point of view of the applicant for the granting of temporary protection and the risks associated with the granting of this type of protection. The questionnaire survey method evaluates basic areas that can influence, for example, security, integration policy or the level of crime in the Czech Republic. At the same time, it also evaluates the state's current economic approaches to migration and integration.
