Abstract:

Klíště obecné je významným přenašečem nebezpečných zoonóz. Z řady studií vyplývá, že je hlavním přenašečem Lymeské boreliózy na našem území i v dalších částech Evropy. Kromě Lymeské boreliózy klíště přenáší babesiózu, erlichiózu a může hostitele nakazit také klíšťovou encefalitidou. Jedním z prostředků, jak se ochránit před těmito nákazami, je ochrana před jejich přenašeči – klíšťaty. Důležitou složkou primární ochrany je kromě vhodného oděvu i použití repelentů. Repelenty jsou chemické přípravky běžně dostupné v lékárnách a drogeriích. Tyto přípravky vždy obsahují účinnou látku (nejčastěji N, N-diethyl-m-toluamid, známý jako DEET; permethrin či icaridin), jejímž účelem je tohoto roztoče odpudit. O výzkum a vývoj nových repelentů je velký zájem vzhledem ke zvyšujícímu se počtu lidí nakažených onemocněními přenášenými klíšťaty. Pro jejich testování byla vyvinuta řada metodických postupů. Cílem této práce je pak zjistit účinek vybraných chemických přípravků na krevsající vektory. Metoda, která bude použita při testovaní se nazývá Moving-object bioassay. Poprvé byla publikována Hansem Dautelem v roce 1999 a její cílem je co nejvíce napodobit potenciálního hostitele klíštěte.

Abstract:

Ixodes ricinus ticks are the major carrier of hazardous agents. A number of studies suggests that tick is the main carrier of Lyme disease in our country and in other parts of Europe. In addition to Lyme disease tick transmits for example babesiosis, erlichiosis and can also infect host tick-borne encephalitis. One way to protect ourselves from these diseases is the protection from their carriers - ticks. An important component of the primary protection is besides appropriate clothing the using of repellents. Repellents are chemicals commonly available in pharmacies and drug stores. These products always contain the active ingredient (usually N, N-diethyl-m-toluamide, known as DEET; permethrin or icaridine), whose purpose is to repel mites. The research and development of new repellents are very interested due to the increasing number of people infected with tick-borne diseases. A number of methodologies was developed for testing repellents. The aim of this work is to determine the effect of selected chemicals in the blood sucking vectors. A method, which is going to be used is called the Moving-object bioassay. The method, first published by Hans Dautel in 1999, is trying to mimic the conditions, in which the tick is waiting for a potential host as closely as possible.
