Geochemistry and stage of development of durbachite weathering crust in southern part of the Třebíč Pluton

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce řeší problematiku vývoje dvou zvětrávacích profilů vyvinutých na durbachitovém podloží. První profil byl umístěn na jihu města Třebíč (191GCB0001), druhý v obci Petrůvky (191GCB0002). Oba profily byly detailně zdokumentovány a všechny vzorky byly analyzovány pomocí zrnitostní analýzy a gamaspektrometrie. U části vzorků byl proveden kompletní chemický rozbor (Total Whole Rock Characterization). Z výsledků prvkové analýzy byly vypočteny zvětrávací indexy CIW a WIP. Výsledky ukazují, že na zvětrávacích profilech vyvinutých na durbachitech má vhodnější využití index WIP. Oba indexy ukázaly, že vyšší intenzitu zvětrávání na profilu 191GCB0002. Výsledky prvkové analýzy ukázaly, že Ba a Sr se v profilu 191GCB0001 váže do struktury plagioklasu a v profilu 191GCB0002 do plagioklasů a K-živců. Thorium se naopak pravděpodobně váže do struktury zirkonu a U je částečně vázán do struktury jílových minerálů a popřípadě i karbonátů.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on development of two weathering profiles developed on durbachites rocks. The first profile was located on the southern part of the Třebíč city (191GCB0001) and the second one was located in the Petrůvky village. Both profiles were thoroughly documented and all samples were analyzed by grain-size analysis and gammaspectrometry. Several samples were also chemically analysed (Total Whole Rock Characterization). On the basis of results of silicate analysis weathering indexes CIW and WIP were calculated. Results indicate that WIP is more suitable for weathering profiles developed on durbachites. Indexes values show that profile 191GCB0002 is more weathered than the profile 19GCB0001. As results from chemical analysis we presuppose that Ba and Sr are bound in structures of plagioclase on profile 191GCB0001 whereas on the second profiles these elements are bound in structures of plagioklase and K- feldspars. On the other hand Th is slightly bound in zirkon, U is bound into clay minerals and carbonates.
