Detailed simulation of the water balance of the experimental forest micro-watershed Kanice in the PERSiST model.

Abstract:

Předmětem práce se stává detailní modelace lesního mikropovodí v období let 2019-2021. K tomu je využit srážko-odtokový program PERSiST, který pracuje jako koncepční. Zkoumány jsou možnosti zpřesnění kalibrace při zohlednění rozdílného krajinného pokryvu a morfologie terénu. V modelu jsou tyto faktory zobrazeny jako krajinné celky s rozdílným nastavením parametrů. Postupováno je přitom od jednoduché kalibrace povodí jako homogenního celku přes dělení povodí dle dřevinné skladby na opadavé a neopadavé dřeviny nebo zohledněním vlivu lesních cest, až po detailní rozdělení lesních porostů dle sklonu svahu. Při tomto postupu bylo dosaženo závislosti modelových a měřených dat ve vegetačním období kolem 62 %. Ukázalo se, že detailní dělení povodí na menší plochy s rozdílnou vodohospodářskou účinností zpřesňuje výslednou kalibraci. Největší vliv při tomto procesu mělo zařazení lesních cest. Zároveň je však konstatováno, že zvýšení přesnosti je na úkor množství dat, které je potřebné modelu poskytnout. Proto je při kalibracích předmětné zohlednit potřebu uživatele modelu v konkrétním případě a rozhodnout se o žádoucí míře detailu. Součástí práce je také vyhodnocení vodní bilance nejlepší kalibrace a kvantifikace jejích jednotlivých složek. Ukázalo se, že největší podíl na ztrátách vody z povodí má evapotranspirace, která za celé období tvořila 68,7 % úhrnů srážek. Zato odtok z povodí model zobrazil na pouhých 3,2 %, což je pravděpodobně mírně podhodnocená hodnota, ale i tak ukazuje na fakt, že téměř veškerá voda byla v uplynulých letech na povodí spotřebována porosty a množství vody v korytě vodního toku je velmi nízké.

Abstract:

The subject of the work is a detailed modeling of the forest micro-basin in the period 2019-2021. To do this, the precipitation-runoff program PERSiST is used, which works as a conceptual one. The possibilities of more precise calibration are taken into account, taking into account the different landscape cover and terrain morphology. In the model, these factors are displayed as landscape units with different parameter settings. The procedure is from simple calibration of the river basin as a homogeneous whole through the division of the river basin according to the tree composition into deciduous and non-deciduous trees or taking into account the influence of forest roads, to the detailed division of forest stands according to slope. In this procedure, the dependence of model and measured data in the vegetation period was around 62 %. It turned out that the detailed division of the river basin into smaller areas with different water management efficiency refines the resulting calibration. The inclusion of forest roads had the greatest influence in this process. At the same time, however, it is stated that increasing accuracy is at the expense of the amount of data that needs to be provided to the model. Therefore, when calibrating, it is important to take into account the need of the model user in a particular case and to decide on the level of detail. Part of the work is also the evaluation of the water balance of the best calibration and quantification of its individual components. It turned out that the largest share of water losses from the river basin has an evapotranspiration, which for the whole period accounted for 68,7 % of total precipitation. On the other hand, the runoff from the basin showed the model at only 3,2 %, which is probably a slightly underestimated value, but even so it indicates the fact that almost all water has been used in the river basin by forest stand in recent years and the amount of water in the stream is very low.
