The focus of this thesis is on the principles and challenges of edge computing. This thesis aims to clarify the term edge computing platform and offers an evaluation of capabilities of three chosen edge computing platforms (Project EVE, Mender, Azure IoT Edge) with the intention of determining their suitability for YSoft AIVA test automation solution.
