Ethics and Etiquette in the hotel chain Royal Spa

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza společnosti Royal Spa, týkající se konkrétní oblasti etiky a etikety. Součástí cílu diplomové práce jsou odpovědi na čtyři hypotézy, které jsem si určil před provedením vlastního výzkumu ve formě dotazníků. U zaměstnanců zjišťuji názory, postoje k danému tématu a jejich zájem o školící kurzy. Ze strany hostů je hlavním cílem prozkoumat, jak jsou spokojeni s úrovní a vystupováním personálu restauračního zařízení Koliby Kordulka a zda by uvítali možnost školení v oblasti etiketa stolování. Důležitou částí je návrh adaptačního, školícího a motivačního procesu, který zabezpečí chod v personální oblasti a zkvalitní služby v hotelovém řetězci Royal Spa. V diplomové práci poukazuji na důležitost etiky a etikety v hotelnictví a gastronomii. Celá práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních částí. První část obsahuje teoreticko-metodologický výklad. Věnuji se zde definici vybraných pojmů, související s etikou a etiketou a dále se zaměřuji na význam a důležitost dodržování etických zásad v oboru hotelnictví a gastronomii. V analytické části je popisována společnost Royal Spa a jednotlivá hotelová a lázeňská zařízení, která pod ni patří. Součást diplomové práce tvoří dva dotazníky, jejichž výsledkem je odpověď na čtyři předem stanovené hypotézy. První dotazník byl určen pro zaměstnance společnosti Royal Spa a druhý hostům Koliby Kordulka v Rožnově pod Radhoštěm. V poslední části diplomové práce se věnuji návrhu na vytvoření adaptačního, školícího a motivačního procesu.

Abstract:

The aim of diploma thesis is the analysis of the Royal Spa relating to a specific area of ethics and etiquette. Part of the objectives of the thesis are the answers to the four hypotheses that I determined before performing my own research in form of questionnaires. I find the opinions of employees, their attitudes towards the topic and their interest in training courses. The main aim of the guest is to explore, how they are satisfied with the level and behaviour of staff restaurant facilities Koliba Kordulka and whether they would welcome the possibility of training in dining etiquette. An important part is the proposal adaptation, training and motivational process to provide operation in the area of human resources and improve services in the hotel chain Royal Spa. In this thesis I refer to improtance of ethics and etiquette in hotel industry and gastronomy. Whole thesis is dividet into three main parts. The first part contains theoretical and methodological interpretation, I devote here to definition of key terms related to ethics and etiquette with the focus on their meaning and importance for adherence to ethical principles in hotel industry and gastronomy. In the analytical part is described Royal Spa company and individual hotel and spa facilities which belong to this. Diploma thesis contains two questionnaires resulting in answer to the four advance stated hypotheses. The first questionnaire was intended for employees of Royal Spa company and the second was for guests in Koliba Kordulka in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The last part of the thesis is devoted to proposal to create an adaptation, training and motivational process.
