Occupational therapy intervention for the development of fine motor skills with a client with hemiparesis in adolescent age using saeboflex splint

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na arteriovenózní malformaci cév se subarachnoidálním krvácením v adolescentním věku s přidruženou hemiparézou. Obecná část je zaměřená na teoretické poznatky o této nemoci a dále popisuje spasticitu, která je při tomto onemocnění často přidružena. Stručně se zde popisuje neglect syndrom, který je v této formě přítomen z důvodu opomíjení postižené strany. Speciální část se zaměřuje na Saeboflex dlahu společně se SaeboStim dlahou a jejich využití při jemné motorice a spasticitě. Dále na ergoterapii jako takovou a její využití v této nemoci u pacientů v adolescentním věku. Hlavní část se zabývá kazuistikou, ve které je popsána metodika vstupního a výstupního ergoterapeutického vyšetření. Dále se zmiňuji o krátkodobém a dlouhodobém ergoterapeutickým plánu. Hlavním cílem mé bakalářské práce je zlepšení jemné motoriky za pomocí ergoterapeutické intervence s využitím Saeboflex dlahy a odstranění nebo částečné vymizení neglect syndromu a zvýšeného svalového tonu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on arteriovenous malformation of the blood vessels with subarachnoid hemorrhage in adolescence with associated hemiparesis. The general part is focused on theoretical knowledge about this disease and further describes the spasticity that is often associated with this disease. The neglect syndrome, which is present in this form due to the neglect of the affected party, is briefly described here. The special part focuses on the Saeboflex plate together with the SaeboStim plate and their use in fine motor skills and spasticity. Furthermore, occupational therapy as such and its use in this disease with patients in adolescence. The main part deals with the case study, which describes the methodology of input and output occupational therapy examination. I also mention the short-term and long-term occupational therapy plan. The main goal of my bachelor's thesis is to improve fine motor skills through occupational therapy intervention using the Saeboflex plate and the removal or partial disappearance of neglect syndrome and increased muscle tone.
