Influence of modification of rubber flexographic formes on ink transfer and possibilities of influencing

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá modifikacemi flexotiskových pryžových návleků a je sledován jejich vliv na přenos tiskové barvy. Tyto modifikace zahrnují chemické úpravy, fyzikální úpravy i úpravy ve složení kaučukové směsi. Během chemických úprav byly testovány různé chemické látky (kyseliny, zásady, alkoholy, aromatické i alifatické uhlovodíky a další), ale i různé mycí přípravky, které se používají pro mytí pryžových forem. Z fyzikálních úprav byly testovány různé drsnosti povrchu, úpravy UV zářením, plamenem a plazmatem. Byly také zkoumány návleky s vypálenou mikrostrukturou pomocí laserového paprsku. Ve složení kaučukové směsi bylo experimentováno s různými plnivy, změkčovadly i poměry různých kaučuků. Pro některé pryže byla také měřena povrchová energie a bylo testováno jejich bobtnání ve vybraných chemických látkách. Chemické i fyzikální úpravy byly studovány pro tři druhy pryží ? styren-butadienová, etylen-propylenová a směs těchto dvou pryží. Pro tisk byly použity tři druhy barev ? rozpouštědlová, disperzní a UV barva.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with modifications of flexographic rubber sleeves and it monitors their effect on ink transfer. These modifications include chemical modification, physical modification and the modifications in the composition of the rubber mixture. During the chemical treatments were tested various chemical substances (acids, bases, alcohols, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, etc.), and also various cleaning agents, which are used for washing the rubber printing forms. For physical modifications, were tested various surface roughness, UV, flame and plasma treatment. They were also studied sleeves with microstructure formed by laser beam. In the composition of the rubber mixture was experimented with various fillers,plasticizers and ratios of various rubbers. For some rubbers was also measured surface energy and their swelling in selected chemical substances were tested. Chemical and physical treatments were studied for the three types of the rubber ? styrene-butadiene, ethylene-propylene and the mixture of these two rubbers. For printing were used the three kinds of inks ? solvent, dispersion and UV ink.
