Supporting bonding after caesarean section

Abstract:

Předkládaná teoreticko-praktická práce se zabývá problematikou podpory kontaktu matky a dítěte po porodu Sectio Caesarea (SC). Teoretická část seznamuje čitatele s pojmy, jako je důležitost raného kontaktu mezi matkou a dítětem, vazba, „bonding“, porod císařským řezem, „imprinting“, klokánkování, prenatální komunikace (prenatální „bonding“), následky separace matky a dítěte, dopady nepodpory „bondingu“ a dává je do vzájemné souvislosti. Praktická část je zaměřena na zhodnocení podpory kontaktu rodičů s novorozencem po porodu Sectio Caesarea ze strany zdravotníků. Poskytuje informace o důvodech nepodpory – zájmu či nezájmu podporovat vztah rodičů a dítěte po porodu SC. Informuje o možnostech zdravotníků, včetně porodních asistentek provést změnu v současných postupech a dále seznamuje s počtem realizací podpory „bondingu“, po SC. Veškerá data byla sesbírána metodou triangulace se zdravotníky pracujících ve Fakultní nemocnici v Brně a rodiči. Cílem této práce bylo nejen získání potřebných dat, ale i snaha motivovat zdravotníky, aby se zamysleli nad danou problematikou. Výstupem bakalářské práce je vytvoření standardu pro porodní sál, který by mohl pomoci podpořit vazbu mezi dítětem a rodiči po porodu Sectio Caesarea.

Abstract:

The submitted theoretical-practical work deals with the issue of supporting the contact between mother and baby after the Caesarian section. The theoretical part focuses on terms, such as the significance of the early contact between mother and baby, attachment, „bonding“, Caesarian section, „imprinting“, kangaroo mother care, prenatal communication (prenatal „bonding“), consequences of mother-baby separation, impact of not supporting the „bonding“, and puts them into context. The practical part deals with evaluation of supporting the parental contact with a newborn after the Caesarian section from the part of medics. It provides information on reasons of non-support – interest or lack of interest in supporting the relationship of parents and baby after the SC. It informs about possibilities of medics, midwives included, to make a change of existing procedures and furthermore, it acquaints with the number of executions of supporting the „bonding“, after the SC. All the data have been collected by the method of triangulation with medics working at Faculty hospital in Brno and parents. The aim of this work has not been only the collection of necessary data, but also to motivate health professionals to think about the issue. The output of the thesis is creation of standard for delivery room which could help to support the bond between baby and parents after the SC.
