Retrospective study on the effectiveness of physical activity of seniors group home for the recovery and maintaining the balance

Abstract:

Literature as the treaties of O.M.S. and the National plan of Italian prevention (2010-2012) have enhanced the role of physical activity in promoting not only the well-being in healthy people, but also the fundamental action of prevention of chronicity and disability, representing a pursuit in the physiotherapy rehabilitation. Physical inactivity, especially when it comes to the elderly, contributes to the loss of muscle strength, mainly involving postural muscles useful in maintaining proper posture and good balance; also the resistance decreases with advancing age and all this involves rapid fatigue with a consequent decrease in general that is reflected in a greater risk of falling or loss of balance. Abstract:

La letteratura come i trattati dell' O.M.S. ed il piano nazionale della prevenzione italiano (2010- 2012) hanno valorizzato il ruolo dell'attivit? fisica nel promuovere non solo il benessere nelle persone sane, ma anche l'azione fondamentale di prevenzione della cronicit? e della disabilit?, rappresentando cos? un perseguimento della riabilitazione fisioterapica. L'inattivit? fisica, specialmente se si tratta della terza et?, contribuisce alla perdita della forza muscolare soprattutto a carico dei muscoli posturali utili al mantenimento di una corretta postura e di un buon equilibrio; anche la resistenza decresce con l'avanzare dell'et? e tutto ci? comporta un rapido affaticamento con conseguente decremento generale che si riflette in un maggior rischio di caduta o di perdita di equilibrio.
