Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá problematikou vzniku štátu prehlásením nezávislosti. Práca je zameraná na Republiku Kosovo, ktorá slúži ako aktuálny príklad pre priblíženie skúmanej problematiky. Najprv sa zaoberá historickým pozadím Kosova. Nasleduje rozobratie intervencie NATO v Kosove a správy oblasti Kosovo po jej ukončení.
