Winchester versus Brno: Confrontation study procedures and methods gained from internships

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl nejen popsat a reflektovat principy studia herectví (dramatického umění)na anglické The University of Winchester z bezmála roční stáže, ale i pokus o nastínění rozdílných přístupů oproti Janáčkově akademii múzických umění v Brně. Na základě teoretických i praktických zkušeností získaných ze studijního pobytuse snažím porovnat herecké metody a techniky na obou školách stejně jako jejich rozdílné studijní osnovy.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to not only to describe and reflect the principles of the study of acting (dramatic art) in English from The University of Winchester for almost yearly internships, but also an attempt to outline different approaches, as opposed to the Janacek Academy of performing arts in Brno, on the basis of theoretical and practical experience from internships comparing acting methods and techniques at both schools as well as their different curriculum.
