Altimetry of maps from III. military mapping

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá určením přesnosti výškopisu třetího vojenského mapování. Rozbor přesnosti byl založen na podrobné rešerši zdrojů a získání informací o tomto topografickém mapování. Třetí vojenské mapování (též Františko-Josefské) probíhalo na území rakouské monarchie v letech 1869-1885. Výsledkem mapování byly topografické sekce 1:25 000 a řada map odvozených. Cílem práce bylo porovnat přesnost výšek na mapách třetího vojenského mapování se správnou výškou, která byla získána z databáze DATAZ. Značná část práce byla věnována i zjištění z jakých podkladů výšky na mapách třetího vojenského mapování vycházely.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the determination of altimetry on the Third military survey maps. The accuracy analysis was based on the detailed literature research about these topographic maps. The Third Military Survey (Francis-Joseph's survey) in the territories of the former Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy was realised between 1869 and 1885. The result of mapping was the original topographic section 1:25 000 and other derivated maps. The aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of the heights of third military survey to the correct height, which was obtained from the database DATAZ. The attention was paid to determine from which documents the heights of the Third Military Survey came out.
