This graduation thesis deals with the psycho-sociological theoretical basis of compulsive gambling. The concept of pathological gambling is briefly explained in the introduction. Afterwards the causes of gambling addiction are described. The warning signs and stages of addiction and of course its prevention are summarized after that.
