Presentation of Czech culture abroad – Czech centre Milano

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o příspěvkové organizaci Ministerstva zahraničních věcí – Česká centra (ČC). Konkrétně je zaměřená na pobočku v Miláně. Teoretická část práce shrnuje její činnost, financování, program, propojení s kulturním kontextem města a oblastí designu. Praktická část se skládá z analýzy výstavy „100 let českého designu“, analýzy programu a celkové medializace ČC Milano. Výsledky těchto analýz odpoví na výzkumnou otázku: „Jsou události spojené s designem mediálně úspěšnější v ČC v Miláně /městě designu/ než v ostatních pobočkách Českých center“. Na závěr zhodnotím jak ČC v Miláně přistupuje k tématu designu a odpovím na výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with contributory organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Czech centres (CC). Specifically, it is focused on a branch in Milan. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes its activities, financing, program, connection with the cultural context of the city and design area. The practical part consists of an analysis of the exhibition "100 years of Czech design", analysis of the program and the overall media coverage of CC Milano. The results of these analyzes will answer the research question: "Design related events are more successful at the Czech Centers in Milan / design city / than at other Czech centers”. Finally, I will evaluate how the CC in Milan approaches the topic of design and answers the research question.
