Anotácia:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na život v ulicích Nevers ve 12. století. Základními výchozími body jsou katedrála Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte a klášterní kostel Saint-Etienne. Studie se zabývá posvátnem, které mohlo být vnímáno členy městské společnosti, procházejícími kolem posvátné architektury - náboženských a společenských center. Abychom porozuměli, jak se může projevovat posvátné ve zkušenosti člověka v čase prostém a svátečním, zvažujeme vztah mezi obyvateli města, duchovními, monumenty a objekty, přítomnými ve městě 12. století.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on a religious life in the streets of the twelfth-century Nevers. The fundamental sources of this thesis are the cathedral Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte and the monastic church Saint-Etienne. The study deals with the sacredness, which members of an urban society might had perceived when walking around the sacred architecture – religious and social focal point. The complex relationship among townspeople, ecclesiastics, monuments and objects is examined to understand how the sacredness might had been experienced in regular and festive time in the period under consideration.
