Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit situaci v chovu ovcí v regionu Moravské Valašsko na východní Moravě. V literárním přehledu je popsána charakteristika chovu ovcí v České republice, definice regionu Moravské Valašsko, nejběžnější plemena ovcí, nejvýznamnější nemoci ovcí a nejvýznamnější predátoři ovcí na Valašsku.
