Synthesis and characterization of nanodispersed CdS\dindex{0,8}Se\dindex{0,2}

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá syntézou a charakterizací nanodispergovaného CdS0,8Se0,2. Byl studován vliv teploty syntézy při tvorbě nanočástic CdS0,8Se0,2 metodou Hot Injection na jejich velikost, tvar a optické vlastnosti. Charakterizace byla provedena pomocí absorpční a fotoluminiscenční analýzy, měření STEM, EDS a rentgenové difrakční analýzy. Bylo zjištěno, že při zvolených teplotách lze dosáhnout úspěšné přípravy nanočástic CdS0,8Se0,2. Připravené kvantové tečky měly hexagonální strukturu, kromě kvantových teček, připravených při 220 °C, které měly kubickou strukturu. Kvantové tečky měly průměrnou velikost v rozmezí od 2,13 nm do 7,08 nm a při expozici UV světlem emitovaly zelené až žluté záření. Nezávisle na teplotě syntézy vykazují QDs nejvyšší intenzitu luminiscence v roztocích CHCl3 o koncentraci 0,014 %. S rostoucí teplotou syntézy QDs klesá intenzita vlastní luminiscence, ale výrazně se zvyšuje hodnota Stokesova posunu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with synthesis and characterization of nanodispersed CdS0,8Se0,2. The effect of the synthesis temperature on the size, shape and optical properties of CdS0,8Se0,2 nanoparticles prepared by the Hot Injection method was studied. Characterization was performed by absorption and photoluminescence analysis, STEM measurements, EDS and X-ray diffraction analysis. It was found that at applied temperatures the successful preparation of the nanoparticles CdS0,8Se0,2 was achieved. Quantum dots had average size between 2,13 nm and 7,08 nm and being exposed by UV beam they emitted from green to yellow light. Independently of the synthesis temperature, quantum dots emitted the highest luminescence in 0,014 % CHCl3 solutions. With increasing synthesis temperature, the intensity of their luminescence decreased, but the Stokes shift significantly increased.
