Mentorship in the teaching of professional training from the student's point of view (retrospective study). Sources of stress in students of general nursing, ergotherapy and physiotherapy in professional practice

Abstract:

Úvod: Stres je obzvláště důležitou otázkou ve vzdělávání zdravotnických pracovníků, protože má potenciál snižovat kvalitu studia a výkonu studentů. Během odborné praxe jsou na studenty kladeny velké fyzické a psychické nároky a často mohou být příčinou vzniku stresu, nebo mohou způsobit nechuť k výkonu zdravotnické profese. Cíl práce: Zjistit, jaké zdroje stresu vnímají studenti v době odborné praxe, jak subjektivně je míra stresu hodnocená a v jaké oblasti stresu převládá. Tím přispět k zmapování problematiky stresu u studentů zdravotnických profesí. Metodika: Dotazníkového šetření se zúčastnilo celkem 64 studentů Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně Fakulty zdravotnických studií oboru Všeobecná sestra. Data byla získána anonymně prostřednictvím standardizovaného dotazníku Perceived Stress Scale. Dotazník byl distribuován elektronicky. Výsledky: Získaná data ukazují, že studenti oboru všeobecná sestra hodnotí míru stresu jako umírněnou. Závěr: Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřila na stres studentů v době odborné praxe a může být prodloužená další kvalitativní diplomovou prací pro hlubší pochopení problematiky ze strany studentů.

Abstract:

Introduction: Stress is a particularly important issue in the education of health professionals because it has the potential to reduce the quality of study and performance of students. During practical training, students are faced with great physical and psychological demands and they often can be the cause of stress or to dislike the performance of the healthcare profession. Aim of the work: to find out what sources of stress students perceive at the time of practical education, how subjectively the level of stress is evaluated and in what area of stress prevails. By doing so, contribute to the mapping of stress issues in health care students. Methods: A total of 64 students of the General Nurse of the Faculty of Health Studies at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University participated in the questionnaire survey. The data were obtained anonymously via a standardized Perceived Stress Scale. The questionnaire was distributed electronically. Results: The obtained data show that students of general nurses assess the level of stress as moderate. Conclusion: This bachelor thesis focused on the stress of students at the time of professional practice and may be extended by another qualitative diploma thesis for a deeper understanding of the problems from the side of students.
