Village folk architecture in the Osoblažsko region

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zděnou vesnickou lidovou architekturu Osoblažského výběžku do roku 1945. Jedná se o architekturu historickou, spojenou se způsobem života, který je tomu dnešnímu již značně vzdálen, proto problematiku uvádí historický kontext, který nás nasměruje na dobové souřadnice. Začneme v době, kdy vznikalo osídlení Osoblažska, následně projdeme nejdůležitější události dějin, které ovlivnily zdejší kraj, až se dostaneme do 19. a první poloviny 20. století. Poslední jmenovanou historickou epochou se budeme zabývat důkladněji, neboť právě v ní začala v osoblažských vesnicích převažovat zděná zástavba. Historický kontext ukončíme událostmi započatými roku 1945, tedy koncem války, odsunem německého obyvatelstva a následnou marnou snahou o znovuosídlení vylidněného kraje. Právě tyto události totiž napsaly poslední tečku za doposud kontinuálním vývojem zdejší vesnické lidové architektury. V druhé části práce je důkladně popsána jmenovaná architektura a vše, co k ní náleží. Celý text je kombinací materiálů získaných z plošného průzkumu, který zachycuje současný stav, ale také zajímavých archivních materiálů a odborné literatury. Výsledkem je první takto komplexně pojatá práce o zděné vesnické zástavbě Osoblažska.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the brick village folk architecture of the Osoblaha's promontory until the year1945. It is a historical architecture, connected with a way of life that is very far from today's, so the historical context introduces us to the issue, which directs us to the period coordinates. We will start at the time when the settlement of Osoblažsko was established, and then we will go through the most important events in history that influenced the local region, until we get to the 19th and first half of the 20th century. We will deal with the last mentioned historical epoch more thoroughly, because it was the time when brick buildings began to prevail in the villages of Osoblažsko. We will end this historical context with the events which began in 1945, i.e. at the end of the war, namely with the expulsion of the German population and the subsequent futile effort to resettle the depopulated region. These events beended the so far continuous development of the local village folk architecture. In the second part of the thesis, the architecture and everything that belongs to it is thoroughly described. The whole text is a combination of materials obtained from a surface survey that captures the current state, but also interesting archival materials and professional literature. The result is the first comprehensively conceived work on the brick village development of Osoblažsko.
