Rehabilitation of a patient with double amputation in the upper limb and lower limb: a clinical case.

Abstract:

Amputation is a traumatic event in the life of a person who finds himself having his body and his relationship life changed. In this work we will deal with a patient who has both upper and lower limb amputated, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in taking care of the patient and the role of the physiotherapist in rehabilitation. The various types of amputation, the most used surgical procedures, the complications that may occur and the types of prostheses currently used will also be described

Abstract:

L'amputazione ? un evento traumatico nella vita di una persona, che si trova a vedere modificati il suo corpo e la sua vita di relazione. In questo lavoro ci occuperemo di un paziente amputato sia all'arto superiore che inferiore, mettendo in risalto l'importanza del lavoro di squadra e il ruolo del fisioterpista nella riabilitazione. Saranno anche descritti i vari tipi di amputazione, gli interventi chirurgici maggiormente utilizzati, le complicanze che possono occorrere e i tipi di protesi attualmente usate.
