Práce se věnuje italském vlivu na jazzovou hudbu. Analyzuje nedjřív socilaní život Sicilánů kteří, kvůli chudobě, migrovali do ameriky za lepší život a jak první italo-americký hudebnici se učastnili do narození jazzu. The thesis deals with Italian influence on jazz music. It analyses first social life of Sicilians who, because of poverty, migrated to United States for a better life and how italian-americans participated to the birth of jazz.
