This bachelor’s thesis attempts to provide a current picture of the sociolinguistic situation in the Western Region of Paraguay, el Chaco Paraguayo, where several indigenous cultures and the Latin Paraguayans coexist alongside the Mennonites, a religious group of Dutch origin. Abstract:
Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se snaží poskytnout aktuální obraz o sociolingvistické situaci v paraguajském Chacu na západě státu, kde společně žijí různé indiánské kultury, latinští Paraguayci a mennonité, náboženská skupina nizozemského původu. Práce analyzu-je dopad multilingvismu na obyvatele regionu a vyzdvihuje problémy způsobené množ-stvím jazyků a kultur v jedné a té samé oblasti.
