Cílem práce je analýza dvou románů 2001: Space Odyssey od A. C. Clarka a Dark Star od A. D. Fostera, společně s povídkou "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" od Harlana Ellisona. Analytické kapitoly práce dokládají, že stroje, které jsou ve zkoumaných textech zobrazeny, byly zkaženy lidmi. Abstract:

This B.A. thesis analyzes the novels 2001: Space Odyssey by A. C. Clarke and Dark Star by A. D. Foster, together with a short story "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison. It proves the intelligent machines as depicted in the three works were corrupted by humans and it discusses the nature of the very corruption.
