Analogy between Dewelopment of Children’s Drawing and Art History

Abstract:

Tématem této práce je sledování analogických vývojových prvků formální stránky dětské kresby a výtvarného umění v dějinách. Teoretickým východiskem a hlavním informačním zdrojem jsou práce J. Uždila a E. H. Gombricha doplněné dílčími informacemi z jiných, obecně uznávaných pramenů. Srovnávané období je omezeno časovou hranicí, a to od prapočátků výtvarné tvořivosti po konec starověku u dějin umění a u dětí do období jejich puberty. Cílem práce je stanovit ve vývoji formálního zpracování výtvarné činnosti obou oblastí možné korelační body, specifikovat jejich podobu a zakotvení v kontextu zbylé tvorby. Dále rozhodnout, zda tyto prvky hrají klíčovou roli v daném období i v celkovém vývoji oboru. V závislosti na těchto rozhodnutích stanovit, zda se oba vývoje jeví jako analogické, či nikoliv a do jaké míry. Zvolenou metodou je vlastní komparace vycházející z teoretických úvah již zmiňovaných autorů rozvedených o některé další „obecně uznávané“ teoretické zdroje.

Abstract:

This work is supposed to follow analogies between the development determinating the formal aspect side of children’s drawing and the art history. J. Uždil’s and E.H. Gombrich’s works were used as the theoretical basis and the main source of information together with other generally accepted sources. Period to be compared was restricted to the time from the origin of art to the end of antiquity in the art history and to the beginning of puberty in children’s development. The goal is to found out possible correlations in formal side of developement periods mention above, to describe them and identify their position in the context of the rest of production. Also to if these correlations are important in given periods as well as in the development of the whole discipline. Depending on this decision assessed if both developments seem to be analogous or not and the extent of the analogy will be ascertained. A method of comparison was chosen for this purpose based on theoretical considerations of previously mentioned authors.
