History and current trends of central banks.

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce „Historie a současné trendy centrálních bank“ je zmapování důvodů vedoucích k použití nekonvenčních monetárních nástrojů a jejich aplikace prováděné ECB a Fedem a srovnání chování ECB a Fedu s prvními centrálními bankami. První část práce je zaměřena na teoretické předpoklady vedoucí k zakládání centrálních bank a příklady prvních centrálních bank. Ve druhé části práce jsou definovány funkce a nástroje centrálních bank současnosti. Třetí část popisuje příčiny vedoucí k použití nestandardních měnových nástrojů a jejich použití na příkladu ECB a Fedu. Poslední část se věnuje srovnání jednak nekonvenčních monetárních politik Fedu a ECB navzájem, ale i srovnání s centrálními bankami v dobách svého vzniku.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “History and current trends of central banks” is to analyze reasons for establishing unconventional monetary policy and specific applications by Fed and ECB and a comparison of these central banks with the central banking at its beginning. The first part focuses on theoretical preconditions that leads to establishing central banks and presents examples of first central banks. In the second part are defined functions and instruments of central banks. Third part describes causes leading to the use of the unconventional monetary policy instruments by Fed and ECB. Last part focuses on comparison of the Fed and ECB unconventional monetary policy and also presents a comparison between these central banks and the central banks at the beginning.
