The Process of Adaptation of a Child with a Cochlear Implant from the Parents' Point of View

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na proces adaptace dítěte na kochleární implantát z pohledu rodičů. Celkovým cílem předložené diplomové práce bylo analyzovat, objasnit a popsat proces adaptace dítěte na kochleární implantát z pohledu rodičů. Cílem teoretické části práce bylo vymezit teoretická, empirická a metodologická východiska pro porozumění výzkumu a na základě odborných zdrojů popsat a analyzovat proces adaptace dítěte na kochleární implantát z pohledu rodičů. Na začátku teoretické části práce jsou popsána teoretická empirická a metodologická východiska práce. Další kapitola se zabývá kochleární implantací a adaptací dítěte na kochleární implantát a následně je pozornost věnována rodičům dítěte s kochleárním implantátem a jejich úloze v procesu adaptace. Výzkumná část navazuje na teoretické poznatky. Cílem výzkumné části práce bylo zjistit, jak probíhal proces adaptace dítěte na kochleární implantát z pohledu rodičů. Ve výzkumu byla použita kvalitativní výzkumná strategie.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the proces of a child's adaptation to a cochlear implant from the parents' point of view. The overal goal of the presented diploma thesis was to analyze, clarify and describe the proces of adaptation of a child to a cochlear implant from the perspective of the parents. The aim of the theoretical part of the thesis was to define the theoretical, empirical and methodological starting points for understanding the research and, based on professional sources, to describe and analyze the proces of adaptation of the child to the cochlear implant from the perspective of the parents. The research part follows on from theoretical findings. The aim of the research part of the thesis was to find out how the proces of adaptation of the child to the cochlear implant took place from the perspective of the parents. A qualitative research strategy was used in the research.
