PREVENTION OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE AMONG MANAGERS THROUGH APPROPRIATE STRESS AND STRAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá tematikou návykových látek, které v dnešním světě ovlivňují většinu populace, jejich dostupnost pro každého je abnormální, a tak k lidé sahají v rámci jakýchkoliv situací. Práce uvádí strukturovaný popis nejvíce užívaných drog v rámci managementu, jejich působení na lidskou psychiku a celkově na stav jedince. Dále uvádí procesy a důvody, proč zaměstnanci a top mažete ikliminují k užívání těchto drog, co je k tomu vede a z jakého důvodu u jejich užívaní setrvávají. Práce porovnává výzkumy, které poukazují na četnost užívání v čase a proměnlivost četnosti v negativním smyslu s vyššími čísly. Dále také uvádí vliv na lidskou psychiku a důvodu kvůli kterým manažeři propadají do prohlubně a přecházejí z návykových látek na antidepresiva. Dále také tato práce poukazuje na chyby jichž se dopouštějí organizace v rámci jejich špatných výběrových řízení a špatně strukturovaných požadavků pro dané pozici a následně neadekvátním požadavkům a pak následnému vzniku vyhoření a závislosti u jedinců.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the topic of addictive substances, which in today's world affect the majority of the population, their availability to everyone is abnormal, and so people reach out to them in any situation. The thesis gives a structured description of the most used drugs within the management, their effect on the human psyche and the overall condition of the individual. It also provides the processes and reasons why employees and top management iliminate the use of these drugs, what drives them to do so and the reasons why they persist in their use. The paper compares research that shows frequency of use over time and variability in frequency in a negative sense with higher numbers. It also lists the effect on the human psyche and the reasons that cause managers to sink into the pit and switch from addictive substances to antidepressants. Further, this paper also highlights the mistakes committed by organizations in their poor selection processes and poorly structured requirements for the position and consequently inadequate requirements.
