Abstract:
Lektiny jsou proteiny neimunitního původu, které mají vlastnost specificky a reverzibilně vázat sacharidy. Lektiny se objevují téměř ve všech živých organismech, kde zastávají velké množství funkcí. Živočišné lektiny jsou převážně součástí imunitního systému a pomáhají buňkám imunitního systému v navádění do místa zánětu a infekce. Lectins are proteins of a nonimmune origin able to bind sacharides reversibly and in a very specific way. They occur across all living organisms, where they occupy a lot of biological funcions.
