The impact of certification on destination management in tourist region Jizerské hory

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem certifikace organizací destinačního managementu (DMO) na kvalitu a efektivitu řízení turistických destinací v regionu Jizerské hory. Systém certifikace, zavedený v roce 2018, je zkoumán z hlediska jeho vlivu na interní procesy DMO, kvalitu poskytovaných služeb, konkurenceschopnost a atraktivitu regionu. Práce se opírá o dvě klíčové výzkumné otázky: Jak certifikace ovlivňuje kvalitu a rozsah služeb DMO a jak přispívá ke konkurenceschopnosti regionu v porovnání s ostatními regiony v trojmezí. V teoretické části je vymezen destinační management oblastních organizací a jeho certifikace v českých podmínkách. V analytické části autor využívá metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s ředitelkou destinačního managementu turistického regionu Jizerské hory.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of certification of destination management organizations (DMO) on the quality and efficiency of tourist destination management in the Jizera Mountains region. The certification system, introduced in 2018, is examined in terms of its impact on the DMO's internal processes, the quality of services provided, competitiveness and attractiveness of the region. The thesis is based on two key research questions: how certification affects the quality and scope of DMO services and how it contributes to the competitiveness of the region compared to other regions in the tri-region. The theoretical part defines destination management of DMOs and its certification in the Czech context. In the analytical part the author uses the method of semi-structured interview with the director of destination management of the Jizera Mountains tourist region.
