Coinage of Silver Coins in Kutná Hora and in Jáchymov

Abstract:

Ve své práci uvádím, jak se na území České republiky razily stříbrné mince s vysvětlením klíčových pojmů zejména při ražbě a těžbě v Kutné Hoře a v Jáchymově. Od vzniku českého mincovnictví, kterému předcházel barterový obchod - výměna zboží za jiné přes objevení prvních stříbrných žil, rozvoj a rozkvět měst až po úpadek a zánik těžby. Dále Vám přiblížím, jak se razily první pražské groše i jáchymovské tolary a jaká technika se používala.

Abstract:

In my work I present how silver coins were minted in the territory of the Czech Republic with the explanation of key words concerning mainly the coinage and mining in Kutna Hora and Jachymov. From the beginning of the Czech coinage preceded by the barter – exchange of goods for other – through the discovery of the first silver streaks, the development and prosperity of towns up to the recession and the end of minig. Further I will focus on the way the first Prague´s groshes and the end Jachymov´s thallers were coined and what technique was used.
