Abstrakt SHAPKINA, Elizaveta. Techniky správy příjmů. [Bakalářská diplomová práce] Vysoká škola hotelová v Praze. Praha: 2015. Celkový počet stran: 67. Správa příjmů v odvětví pohostinství je poměrně mladé odvětví. Cílem výzkumu je definovat, techniky řízení příjmů a aplikovat jejich praktické využití v hotelnictví. Základem výzkumu této práce bylo shromáždění dat v hotelu Intercontinental Praha, jehož postupy správy příjmů patří mezi nejlepší na světě. Data pochází z jednoho z největších mezinárodních řetězců a je dobrým příkladem úspěšného podnikání. Shromážděné informace nám umožňují aplikovat teorii v reálném podnikání. K tomuto účelu byl využit sběr dat v hotelu Intercontinental Praha v průběhu 6 měsíců trvající stáže v rezervačním oddělení pod dohledem správce příjmů. K provádění výzkumu zvolil autor studijní case strategii s popisným způsobem spolu s primárními a sekundárními kvalitativními údaji, které byly shromážděny v průběhu stáže. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu poukazují na nedostatky ve stávající literatuře a zavádí účinnost programu pro správu příjmů v hotelu Intercontinental Praha a podrobnou analýzu marketingové segmentace procesu v IHG. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, že vedení příjmů je rostoucí disciplínou v pohostinství a přináší mnoho příležitostí k růstu příjmů v podnikání. Marketingová segmentace jako jeden z nástrojů pro úspěšné fungování hotelu má významný vliv na optimalizaci příjmů.

Revenue management in hospitality industry is relatively young industry. The research aim is to investigate the revenue management techniques and introduce the practical application of them in hotel environment. The research for this thesis was collected in Intercontinental Prague, which introduces one the best practices of revenue management in the world. The data comes from one of the biggest international chains and is a good example of a successful business. The collected information allows us to reflect the application of theory in real life. This was done by collecting data from Intercontinental Prague during a 6 month internship in the reservation department under the supervision of the revenue manager. For the performance of research the author has chosen a case study strategy with a descriptive method along with primary and secondary qualitative data which was were collected during the internship. The results this of research highlights the weaknesses in the existing literatures and introduces the effectiveness of the revenue management program in Intercontinental Prague and detailed analysis of marketing segmentation process in IHG. Research results mean that revenue management is a growing discipline in the hospitality industry and brings many opportunities for revenue growth in business. Marketing segmentation as one of the tools for successful hotel operation has an important influence in revenue optimization.
