Management of textile waste in the Pardubice region

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou textilního průmyslu, jeho dopady na životní prostředí a analýzou nakládání s textilními odpady v České republice. Literární část přináší přehled vlivů textilní výroby na životní prostředí, legislativních otázek spojených s textilem a textilním odpadem a zkoumá chování spotřebitelů v souvislosti s textilem. Pozornost je věnována vlivům celého životního cyklu textilních výrobků, přičemž jsou popsány klíčové kategorie dopadu z pohledu posuzování životního cyklu (LCA). Experimentální část práce zahrnuje analýzu spotřebitelského chování v souvislosti s textilem, vycházející z dotazníkového šetření. Výzkum se dále věnuje nakládání s odpadním textilem v regionu Pardubic a zahrnuje LCA studii, která se zaměřuje na environmentální dopady různých scénářů zpracování textilních odpadů, včetně uhlíkové stopy a energetické náročnosti. Součástí práce je také srovnání vlivu energetického mixu a dopravy na výsledky analýzy.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issues of the textile industry, its environmental impacts, and the analysis of textile waste management in the Czech Republic. The literature review provides an overview of the environmental impacts of textile production, legislative issues related to textiles and textile waste , and examines consumer behavior in relation to textiles. Attention is given to the environmental impacts throughout the entire life cycle of textile products, with key impact categories described from the perspective of life cycle assessment (LCA). The experimental part of the dissertation includes an analysis of consumer behavior concerning textiles, based on a survey. The research further explores textile waste management in the Pardubice region and includes an LCA study focusing on the environment al impacts of various textile waste processing scenarios, including carbon footprint and energy consumption.
