This dissertation deals with lexical characteristic of criminal novels by F.Dürrenmatt „Der Richter und sein Henker“ and by Jacques Berndorf „Eifel-Schnee“. The work consists of three parts. The first part is theoretical and includes biographies of both authors. The second part deals with lexical characteristics of both novels. Tato práce se zabývá lexikální charakteristikou detektivních románů od Friedrich Dürrenmatta "Der Richter und sein Henker" a od J. Berndorfa "Eifel-Schnee". Diplomová práce se skládá ze tří částí. V první části se nacházejí biografie obou autorů a teoretická část práce. Druhá část je věnována lexikální charakteristice obou románů.
