Carolingian Renaissance and Renaissance Humanism

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo ukázat, zejména prostřednictvím literární tvorby, charakteristické rysy období karolinské renesance a renesančního humanismu. Chtěla jsem poukázat na rozdíly a naopak na společné znaky mezi tvorbou autorů působících v období karolinské renesance v 8. až 9. století a humanistů, žijících o několik století později, přičemž jsem kladla důraz na jejich vztah k antickým vzorům.

Abstract:

The aim of my bachelor thesis was to show, especially through the literature, characteristics of periods of the Carolingian Renaissance and the Renaissance humanism. I wanted to point out the differences and on the contrary the common features between the workings of authors living in the era of the Carolingian Renaissance in 8th-9th century and humanists living a few centuries later. I also put the emphasis on their relationship to the ancient models.
