Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na specifické meziválečné období 20. a 30. let 20. století. V práci je pojednáno vedle sociální a politické, také o té umělecko-designové problematice. Jednotlivé pasáže mapují sociální vývoj evropských národů po 1. světové válce a rozmach urbanizace, jež měla za následek rozvoj nočního života velkoměstských večírků. Vedle tohoto neuchopitelného espritu, který charakterizoval tehdejší vyšší společnost, se v práci objevují také designové prvky typické pro toto období, jež daly vzniknout dnes již kultovnímu stylu art deco. Spojení těchto dvou odvětví dalo základ této diplomové práci pod jednotným názvem Esprit art deco.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the specific interwar period of the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. In addition to social and political issues, the work also discusses artistic and design issues. Individual passages map the social development of European nations after the First World War and the boom in urbanization, which resulted in the development of the night life of big-city parties. This elusive esprit, which characterized the upper society of the time, is also reflected in the design elements typical of this period, which further gave rise to the now iconic art deco style. The combination of these two branches gave the basis of this diploma thesis under the unified name of Esprit art deco.
