Abstract:

Krajka v současném oděvu – kaligrafie. Během posledních 50 let krajka v odívání ztrácela své místo. Cílem této práce bylo povýšit paličkovanou krajky na vyšší úroveň a pokusit se jí vrátit místo v současném oděvu. Výsledkem práce je kolekce třech šatů, v nichž hraje krajka hlavní roli. Kolekce je nazvaná „Kaligrafie“ a krajka na sebe bere podobu několika hindských písmen, která tvoří tři různá slova. Slova jsou - živost, nezávislost a vyzývavost.Tato slova představují charakteristické vlastnosti třech různých žen. První část práce nastiňuje druhy a vývoj současné kaligrafie, druhá část práce popisuje povahy jednotlivých žen, pro které jsou šaty tvořeny a třetí část se zaobírá přesnou dokumentací výroby šatů včetně stručného vysvětlení písma dévanágarí, kterým jsou slova napsána.

Abstract:

Lace in today´s clothing – Calligraphy. During last 50 years the braided lace in clothing has been loosing its place. The main aim of this work was the promotion of the bonelace to higher level and try to revive it in todays clothing. The product of this work is the colection of 3 dresses, in which braided lace takes the main role. This collection is called “Calligraphy“. The laces are shaped into Hindu letters that create three different words.These words are: vitality, independence and provocativeness. The words represent characteristics of three different women. First part of my thesis presents some types of calligraphy and deals with its evolution. Second part describes characteristics of particular women for who the dresses were made. The practical part documents the exact way of dresses´ confection and explication of devanagari script.
