The overall research question that will lie at the core of this thesis is: How can enhanced cooperation, as a form of differentiated integration, best be viewed in light of European integration theories (1) and what are the possible implications of enhanced cooperation on the unity of EU law and the principle of equality of the member states (2)?Abstract:
