Pensions in the Czech Republic - development and reasons of changes

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnocení zásluhovosti a solidárnosti důchodového systému České republiky. V první části této práce je popsán důchodový systém před zavedením reforem, důvody, které vedly k penzijním reformám a změny, které v rámci těchto reforem byly zavedeny. V druhé části je pak ukázán vývoj ukazatelů, podle kterých se určuje zásluhovost a solidárnost důchodového systému a srovnání s vybranými státy. Ve třetí části práce je zhodnocení, zda opatření tzv. Malé důchodové reformy vedly ke zlepšení zásluhovosti důchodového systému České republiky. To je předvedeno na modelovém příkladě, kde jsou vypočítány náhradové poměry tří mužů s různými příjmy nejprve za předpokladu, že odchází do důchodu za podmínek před tzv. Malou důchodovou reformou a poté za podmínek po tzv. Malé důchodové reformě.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor's work is the evaluation of the merit and the solidarity of the pension system of the Czech Republic. In the first part of this work is described the pension system before the reforms, the reasons leading to the pensions reforms and the changes being introduced within these reforms. The second part shows the development of indicators for determining of the merit and the solidarity of the pension system and the comparison with selected countries. In the third part of this work is the evaluation whether the measures of "Small" pension reform led to the improvement of the merit of pension system of the Czech Republic. This is demonstrated on a model example where the replacement ratios are calculated for three men with different incomes, at first assuming the retirement under the conditions before the "Small" pension reform and then under the conditions after the "Small" pension reform.
